Laying eggs...now what?

I have 8 guineas about a year old. They were laying random eggs in the coop but now I have found a nest behind my wood pile in a clump of briars. Pretty battle hardened nest if I must say. Anyway, it's only about 4 eggs in there right now. I really don't want to raise anymore at this time. Do I move the eggs out as I see them or wait? I don't want them to start laying somewhere else.

That's what I'd do, mark the ones that are there and remove the newest ones while they're fresh so you can use them. It doesn't sound like there's much of a chance that they'll hatch the 4 there, and if they do decide to get determined to set on them, well, it's still not likely really.

Mine are such scatterbrains, I just can't imagine them having any luck at it. Sure are fun to have around though!
