Okay, my nest box is in its own room right by the mini coop for my hen...and well my question was will she lay in there if its dark???and how big should the coop be for 1-2 chickens and 2-3 chickens...my coop is really for rabbits i think and its really small...i just wanted to know...Thanks!(sorry for all the questions) Thanks!

Well..hens like dark and quiet places to lay their eggs so you should be ok there with the nest....I wouldn't put more than two hens in a rabbit cage tho...hope you take them out some to free range or have a small run for them....my opinions...

oh yes they free rage the whole ay pacticly...i just put them in there on rainy days or a night when its time to go to bed...
