Laying hen

Hello I have enjoyed having backyard laying hens for over 15 years. Recently one of my chickens died and I have a very lonely olive egger that needs another a friend ( laying hen). If anyone wants a good home for a
1-2 year old laying hen I would love to have her to be with my olive egger.

I recommend you post to your local CL or FB Poultry Groups. You will have much better luck.

Welcome to BYC, and good luck in finding a replacement bird. A flock of 3 is always best. That way when one dies, two remain as company for one another.

I hear you I have had up to 4 at a time. If I can’t find a replacement locally I will start again in the spring and raise 2 chicks to go with the olive egger.
