Laying in wierd places

Hey y'all just wondering my girls have been laying for a week and a half now up until this morning my girls have been laying in the nesting boxes but I found one egg in the middle of the run today and was just wondering if she layed it there accidentally or if this is normal will she figure out how to lay in the nesting boxes or will this become a habit

New layers can lay anywhere, till they figure it out. That being said one of my 15 month old girls lays an egg or 2 in the run weekly. She was last to lay. GC
