Laying Mallard

I have 6 flying Mallard hens with several drakes. They are all about 6 months old. Two days ago I found the first egg and today I found another one. I was under the impression that wild Mallards only layed during the spring. Am I wrong or do I just have a mixed up young duck. Thanks for any comments.

Domestic Mallards do not carry the exact same patterns their Wild relatives have. Mine lay fall,spring, and summer but cut off in winter.

My mallards started laying about 3 wks ago.I also put 3 of their eggs under my broody hen.They are fertile too!
