I read al these posts about getting these tones of egg, etc. We just bought laying mash this weekend, instead of just scratch. We have only 1 egg in 2 days. 6 hens, had them about a week. Is this normal. WE WANT EGGS!

Give them time, they are probably new layers. How would you like to be pressured to lay an egg?

Have you had the hens for a while? Or did you just get them recently. I got two year 1/2 yr old welsummers 2 months ago and they gave me about 5 eggs and then they went on strike! Didn't lay for a month or more!

It is a mystery to me which two are already laying. One lays normal size eggs and one smaller. I know the bo hasn't layed yet because they are supposed to brown. Right?
