lazy 54 hatchery?

I googled - never heard of them before either, they seem to have a lot of stuff on their website... odd that they've never been heard of before, must be new!

They look OK except some of the Pics don't match the descriptions: White crested duck. Also the white Leghorn seems to have an earlobe like a dutch.

I believe they used to be called "Shank's Hatchery" they're located in Hubbard, Oregon.

They are now under new management due to having some issues with their birds, I'm not sure what the issue was exactly but it was bad enough that my 4-H leader told me to never buy birds from there. Now that they are under new management whatever it was might be gone.

I got most of my birds from them before they had any major issues, but none of the breeds I got were from their own stock. They were all pre-ordered from other hatcheries, so I can't make a judgement about them based on my birds. My RIRs and Sex-links are good from there. I had one die from being egg bound, but that normally happens in the production breeds. My Ameracauna or "easter egg" chicken doesn't lay green eggs though, they're brown. So that is kind of a bummer.

i live a mile from lazy 54 farms ~!!!! they are nice people! i got 10 BO pullets from them.. all healthy and happy! they arnt very well known... but they arnt bad ither! they use to be called shanks.. but reacintly were bought and reconstructed into lazy 54... hmm? they arnt lazy.. so the name is kinda an oxymoron..lol.. hope u have sucsess!
