Lazy ducklings or something more?

My ducklings are 2 weeks old today. I have noticed tat they will lay down and use their bill to sift through the shavi gs looking for spilled food. When they want to move most of them will kind of army crawl over to where they want to be. Sometimes even song their wings like arms. If I goto the end of the brooder and talk to them they all come running to say hi so it doesn't appear as though they are having any trouble walking or running. Are they just being lazy?

Seems like it! When I take my ducklings outside to get some air I sit down in the grass and watch them, but then they do the same thing! And they "army crawl", as you said, all over the place unless I move too fast, then they hop up and scurry away! But they always come back.

With my original 3, I had one that would hang out on her legs rather than run around. I just attributed it to them growing so fast, that her legs were probably aching. She was fine and she could run around like a crazy duckling no problem, but would sit funky.
