lead roo whipped by crazy hen!

one day i seen our lead roo fighting with a hen. this hen lets you walk up to her; sometimes you can pet her, but other times she kicks and claws and chews on you. they had their neck feathers up and were dancing. she then flogged the crap out of him and he ran home crying to mama. does this mean the hen is the chicken leader now?

She might be the leader now. I have a very dominant hen that fights any rooster that she sees. Often times, she wins. But, she still submits to them some of the time. Your bird may have won that fight, but roosters are almost always dominant over hens.
