Hello!:D
So someone gave me an old Leahy Manufacturing Favorite Incubator. I’ve never used one of these, so I’m giving it a test run. I have it on, (didn’t realize how loud it was until now) and it’s running! My temp is going over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, so I’m trying to figure out how to control that. My big question is about the “Wet Dry Bulb”?

What do I do with it? How does it work? I feel silly asking, do I put water in the little glass tube? How do I figure out the humidity?

Please and thank you! :)

If it's that loud the fan motor probably needs replaced. Available on Amazon and other sources. The tube is filled with water. You should have a wick. One end goes in the reservoir the other slips over the bottom of one of the thermometers. You can find charts to convert the readings by googling it.

The wavy grid in the bottom drawer is for pheasant eggs. No use for chickens. The 4 drawer unit can be used as an incubator and hatcher. Eggs are set every 7 days for three weeks. On day 19 eggs or the entire drawer is moved to the bottom and water pan is kept full until hatch is over. After hatch the water is removed and the incubator vents are opened for 2 days to let everything dry put and the process is repeated again for the next egg tray.

I'll haul it away at no charge and give you a $100.
