Since many chicken folks also enjoy wood working etc. - here is a project redwood incubator that you might like to repair and restore. It is located in central Virginia and I could bring it with me to the Gilmanor Swap on Saturday in Glen Allen, Virginia.
When plugged in, the fan operated and the red indicator light is lit. It would hold four trays - it comes with three, but one would need to have new wood added to the sides. It can hold turners or be used as a brooder. It will need a good cleaning and disinfecting and some wood restoration to the exterior - a ding to the side and some gnaw marks.
It is a Favorite Incubator manufactured by Leahy - model 416 E. It is 110 V. The manufacturer went out of business in 1983 after almost 100 years in business. There is a wafer heating system and another heater at the base near the galvanized water pan. I would think that other than the fan, you would want to replace the electrical components. If it had four trays, it would hold 416 chicken eggs.
Again, this would be a project piece for sure, but make me an offer by PM. Thank you.
