I have a HovaBator 1602n. I do not use the plastic tray for water, I want to use the whole bottom. Problem being, the bottom has started leaking (no cracks, just seeping through). What can I use to seal it?

I'm thinking overlapping sheets of Glad Press N Seal, would that hold for 21 days, do you think? Or aluminum foil?

I know that you can use thin set or aquarium silicone caulk, but I'd really rather not mess with anything like that. Unless I could paint a few coats of water-based latex paint on it?

Any other ideas, or reasons the foil or Press N Seal wouldn't work?

There are holes in the bottom to allow air flow. That’s probably where it’s leaking from.
Also why do you want to use the whole bottom? Humidity could get pretty high that way.

I know where the air holes are, I fill it up to below them. It's seeping through, there are drops all along the underside. I want the humidity high, I don't dry hatch like most here.
