Learning as I go & thankful for this site!

I have been learning as we go & really learn so much from this site! As a newbie we did not know that chickens have a roosting instinct & would go to their roosting area all on their own. When we first started raising our chickens we did not know that & EACH EVENING, my DH & I would go out & chase them around the yard (we free range our chickens) & would chase them into the coop. I think we did this for the first year! (rofl). I then joined this site & found out they would go in on their own! (LOL). As you could tell we were not raised in the country & had no clue about how things are done. We are learning & thankful for this site & the info we glean here.

I'm right there with ya! I bought chicks and the bin said "pullets" and I thought that was the breed!
