We are still newbies when it comes to chickens. We bought 4 pullets last year: 2 Barred rocks and 2 Americaunas. One of the barred rocks died( we think she may have gotten eggbound), but the other 3 are healthy and have been laying regularly. We just bought 3 more pullets: 2 Rhode Island Reds and 1 Red Sex link. We live in the Grass Valley, Ca area on 10 acres. I can see where this chicken thing can get addictive.
