We weren't raised in the country so all of this is a new experience. Well, not brand new since we've been "out here" for almost 5 years now, but it certainly is a journey. There is always something to learn.
I built a new brooder for the back porch. Now, for the first time, it has chicks in it. There aren't as many chicks as we thought there would be. The incubator has a learning curve to it that we didn't expect. Somehow we thought we'd be able to just set it and forget it.
The chicken tractor experiment hasn't gone exactly as expected either. Oh well, we'll figure it out.
