Hi everyone, I think my BO hen is broody- noticed the clucking this morning and she has been unwilling to leave the nesting box for the last few hours. I'm leaving for FL in a couple of hours and my neighbor will be watching the chickens for me while I'm away. I don't want him to have to learn/deal with the broody jail set up so I'm considering just leaving her alone. Would she be alright if I left her broody for a week? I've always only nipped it in the bud previously so this would be my first time just letting a hen stay broody. My concern is decrease in water and food consumption due to unwillingness to leave nesting box...
