I am thinking of leg banding my ducklings so I can tell them apart for personal & history records.
Comments wanted for suggestions or cautions & Pros & Cons in regards to leg banding!
Thank you

It would all depend on what kind of bands you want to do. The number ones have to fit the duck right and are not really for ducklings. There are the kuhl leg bands which would be great for color coding your birds there are some reviews on leg bands like those on this website.

We used colored zip ties back at my zoo for all the ducklings. We bought them in bulk in many different colors. If you don't have enough different colors for all of them, you can have red right leg, red left leg, blue right leg, blue left leg, etc. The only problem is you do have to change the bands often as ducklings grow fast. You really have to check those bands daily so they don't become too tight. You also don't want them too loose either or they can get stuck around the hock, or simply slip off the foot.

Ah, found a pic:
