Leg bands and spurs

Should the bands be placed above or below the spur? Does it need to be switched ASAP or can it wait until the next time I catch him? They are both sweet, kind boys but I don’t want to emasculate(?) them unnecessarily.

I personally prefer the band between, but I don't think it matters besides personal taste

I prefer to band above the spur where possible, but as long as it's not restricting movement of the hallux and it's large enough to not dig into the leg while still being narrow enough not to slip off, it should be fine either way. I would only make an adjustment if you see an issue, in other words.
