Leg Mites

noticed my Rhode Island Red was laying eggs that were paler and had bumps on them for the past two days. I was concerned something was up so I did a scan of my chicken and noticed her legs looked a little different. I'm not sure if this is normal or it's leg mites. I've attached pictures. Is this the case? She's seemingly happy and active so I'm not sure

Her skin is obviously very dry so you need to put some Vaseline or petroleum jelly on it. Personally, I think that it's calcium deficiency because my chickens has feet like that and had pale eggs with weird bumps. Later I found out that those were all signs of calcium deficiency and that the bumps were calcium deposits. So my conclusion is that you need to regularly use Vaseline or petroleum jelly and if there's any cuts or wounds use vetricyn. Also feed your chickens a handful of crushed oyster shells. . The crushed oyster sells will give your chickens the amount of calcium that they need. Keep feeding them a handful until all the symptoms go away.
