Hello,

New to chickens and was thinking about crossing my white leghorn hens to a buff orpington rooster. Has anyone done this and if so does anyone have pics. What should i expect? hopefully I get a more docile egg machine.

I just did that exact same thing. White leghorn hens to a BO rooster. They are due to hatch on saturday, so I can let you know then.

Here is the buff orpington rooster I picked up today to breed with my white leghorns

I am hoping to hatch some white leghorn hen x Splash Blue Laced Red Wyandotte rooster eggs (along with some SLxSBLR Wyandotte eggs). Next time my silkie goes broody! Anyone have any experience with what that cross?
