I posted before about ALL of my birds (what drama that became - they were mostly boys!) so I'm posting each bird that I'm trying to sort out individually this time - hopefully with more pictures and some things I've read or looked for, I'll be able to figure out what each bird is - with your help!!!

I believe this bird is a Leghorn (although the person I got him from said she was a purebred Americauna)...

I honestly couldn't name the wattle on him - every time I thought it was something - the fact that it's sort of folded over forward seems to disqualify him....

Yellow beak, red earlobes..

The legs almost have a green color to them which didn't match any pictures I found online of Leghorns...

Any idea on what he is - is he a Leghorn - maybe purebred?
(I am willing to go take pictures of specific body parts or to just check specific things in the morning if anyone needs more information)

Okay - I think we've established what he is (EE crossed with a Longhorn sounds most popular)...

So my next question is (because I'm one of those dorks that when I get "into" something, I want to learn all about it) what type of comb does he have? I took a bunch of pictures this morning from different angles (okay I attempted different angles but he wasn't cooperating).

From my google searching it looks like the single, rose, and buttercup are the three combs that really come off the head and could flop or move around. I know it's not a single... But the rose and buttercup are always different images depending on the website I look at so I can't tell which one it is.

I also took a picture of his feet, simply because of the color of them.

Both the comb and the leg color betray his mixed breeding. The Leghorn has brilliant yellow legs. The EE, being a mix/mutt, can have slate to green legs. The comb seems to be blend between a Leghorn's tall and floppy single comb and an EE's more pebble type comb. Again, all this is a guess, whenever one is describing birds of mixed heritage.

The wattles are the dangling appendages under the chin, so to speak.

I'm not finding "pebble" comb in any of my searches... would that be pea??

And yes, I know the wattles are the flaps under their beaks :)

Pebble is merely a term I used to describe the texture. You are correct in that there is no comb called pebble. LOL

Bottom line, in reviewing your various threads is the seller from which you got the birds and her claim as to what they were.
