Hi,
My Leghorn hen is about a year and a half now and has only recently been getting a straight and skinny comb. I believe it is normal for a leghorn to have a flopped one, and I'm getting a little worried about it.
Also, she has been losing feathers in a patch on her neck. All the other hens are moulting and she's only losing those ones on her neck.
Is she sick? Can I treat her? Or will it pass over after winter?

Combs come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Some single comb birds have combs that flop over, some have a single comb that stands perfectly upright at all times. Combs are kind of like thumb prints for chickens, no two are exactly the same. About the feather loss, do you have a rooster?

Thanks! So glad I don't have to worry about it.
With the rooster, we've never had one. She's the top of the pecking order, so it wouldn't be one of the others.
