Saw an ad and inquired about it. was sent these two pictures but cant really tell if they are pure?

Just curious as i am considering buying.

If you are just talking about the little black Silkie then, yes it looks like one. In the second photo, I can't see the rooster very well. Now, obviously you don't know anything about genetics when you buy from somebody like that... How old is this Silkie supposed to be? You always (in my oppinion) can tell breeder quality birds because they are SO fluffy.

Definitely has something in the past. Very, very poor quality. Some of the worst silkies I've seen... My 6 week old silkies have more fluff :P

The pictured birds look mature. They are full grown from what I can tell. Not to mention all the other birds in the photo look mixed.

the pullet is a hatchery silkie...the rooster looks to have had feathers which would make it a silkie mix

Im interested in buying the black ones. not the rooster. just needed to know if they were silkies or not. he told me they were 5 months old.

I see one black pullet and one black rooster...pullet looks hatchery silkie and possibly the rooster is too
