That is the beginning of my favorite age for geese. They get Baby Huey-ish and awkward looking, their bills and feet too big for their faces and bodies, all those half formed feathers mixed in with the down

I've heard they gain a pound a week until they are 12 weeks old. That "pound a week" is no more evident than in that second and third week. Leilani is gorgeous and I'm envious of the downy-prickly gosling snuggles you get
