Sorry to say but those aren't buff orpingtons, they're not buff, they're white :'( I think you're probably right on the genders, I think you have a pair within the white ones and the barred rock is probably a boy. Where did you get them?

Thank you - that's ok, I knew at the time they would be 'barnyard specials' and a mix of either orpington, barred or leghorn. I'm such a newbie so I only took a guess at the breed and colouring I do hope I get one hen out of this hatch (fingers crossed). I just purchased the fertile eggs from a local breeder here in New Zealand
