Let’s talk oyster shells/ egg shells for first time layers

One of my girls laid her first egg and wasn't expecting that for 3 more weeks. Should I give them all layer food or wait for the others. Also should I run out to buy some today or can it wait until tomorrow?

Do they have access to grit?

Not unusual to see chicks try out oyster shell, so I wouldn't worry too much if they eat some, but they should stop gorging on it once the novelty wears off.
I have a free choice container with dividers in my yard and keep it full of grit on one side and oyster shell on the other. They do eat whatever they think they need. I use Layena Free Range layer feed- and they seem healthy and happy.
