Hey guys,
I need some help. I've got a cuckoo maran chick that is lethargic. I got her yesterday morning and she was acting fine, only issue is that she broke her toe when another chick grabbed it. She was walking fine, eating and drinking. Now she's lethargic, and won't move. She'd been a bit more still today, but it was around the time everyone else was taking a nap so I figured she was fine. She'd start chirping if I picked her up, so she was fine. Now she's not moving, I gave her some water through a syringe which she eagerly drank. She won't stand up, and her head will just sort of nod down after a few seconds. When I found her she was laying on her side, making me think she was dead. After giving her water(a drop at a time), she will open her mouth repeatedly. Is that asking for more water? She's been doing nonstop since the water, and that was 10 minutes ago.
She won't open her eyes either, could that be related? Again, she was fine yesterday.
I've attached a picture of her eyes and her foot. It's a really bad picture of the foot, but you can see how the middle toe turns inward.
Any help is appreciated, I would like to help this chick as best I can.
