Hi Friends
I am new to chicken care (dont know the breed sorry!) but heres what i know about my sick chicken friend. she is only a few months old.
Yesterday she was standing still even when i tried to swat (in the air) her out of the way.
Then today she was found face down in the dirt just laying there.
She is lethargic and eyes droopy and closed mostly. She doesn't walk more than a few steps.
eats and drink water and oatmeal when i feed her with a dropper.
I put some epsom salt in there too.
runny poop
heartbeat seems fast but i dont know the regular rate, stomach sounds present
she lives in the city and i am worried about toxic soil (she is outside of the coop most of the day)
Sometimes i feed her maggots from the compost-could this lead to bochelism??
ANY advice will help.
ALso- I really dont want to the vet she doesn't care much for 'em and I have lots of herbs could I feed her water with usnea in case it is an infection?
what do you think about activated charcoal?
Thanks!
