Hello! We got three sweet new ducklings in the mail yesterday morning—a Cayuga and two Welsh Harlequins.
Over the course of today, one of the Welsh Harlequins (Peanut) has become very lethargic. She’s still eating and drinking some, but not nearly as much as the other two. Often when they wake up to eat, she stays under the heating plate. She’s already noticeably smaller than the other Welsh Harlequin.
They’re eating duckling starter food and I mixed BVS poult start into their water, so I don’t think it’s a niacin deficiency.
Every other thread I’ve read in this forum on this subject looks like it ends with the duckling dying
, so I’m prepared for that, but I’m hoping there’s still something I can do. Has anyone had a duckling live through these symptoms?
