Lethargic pullet

Wondering if anyone has advice on a lethargic young chicken we have. Got her about a week ago and her three coop mates are all thriving and energetic. She is eating and drinking ok but sleeps a lot. I am new to backyard chickens and my only comparisons are the other 3 we have. Thanks so much

Is she a new addition to the flock or a different type? Does she look sick or just rest alot? Staying up on the roost? Could be regular pecking order stuff. If she is a little sick trying Oregano Oil can help and won't hurt anything.

Is she eating and drinking? She might be affected by a new strain of coccidia in the soil. I might treat her with Corid or amprollium for 5 days. Can you check her crop early in the morning to see if it is empty, and then later in the after to see if it has some food in it? Worming her might also be helpful. Lastly look for any lice or mites on her skin under her vent and elsewhere.

Thanks so much for the reply. We got all 4 from the same feed and seed a week ago Sunday. They are different breeds. She looks good mainly lethargic. She will walk around then sleep. I wonder if it’s an adjustment period too, although the other 3 are thriving and energetic.

Thanks so much for the advice. She does eat and drink pretty well and we’ve seen her poo. I appreciate checking the crop idea. And for the medication recs. We got 4 at the same time from the same place so I keep watching the others for any similar behavior/ symptoms
