I have 8 barnyard mixes and 3 Barred Rock chicks that are 3 weeks old. They hatched out Jan.21st-24th, 2012. Please post your guesses as to their gender. Thanks

br: i'm going by leg color on these and the black/slate wash down the frount of the legs which says pullets
chicks 2 and 7 look like cockerels
the rest i wont guess on at this point
 
I'm not at all convinced those are BR. The barring should be much more distinct, even at this age. I think that makes the leg wash a toss-up. I don't see any barring at all on BR#3's wings. If they're mutts, that makes the BR sexing techniques irrelevant.

The pictures are pretty small to guess, and it's challenging with the angle of lighting you used. The BR legs almost look green to me. Any pictures you can get in natural lighting will help a lot, and use the "sized for forum" size rather than thumbnail. I tried to zoom on a couple and just got a pop-out of the same size.

That said, based on comb alone:

4,5,6,8, BR2 pullets

The others I'm going to say undetermined because I can't see the photos well enough. Keep an eye on the comb color around 5-6 weeks - that's when my cockerels really started getting some color while the pullets were still quite pale.
