Lets play rooster or Hen

This is only our second batch of chicks. Last year we got all sexed ones. We currently have no rooster. I managed to get photos of the ones I am struggling the most with. My husband said the bedrocks where sexed. I think one is a rooster. The Ameraucana I am struggling with. I have a couple that I know are hens. I have 2 I cant put my finger on. Thanks for your help!

How old are they? The “Ameraucanas” are EEs and the BRs appear to be CMs.

They should be about 6 weeks. EE? BR? CM? I have no idea what any of that means. I just know what my husband said. He went to some random ladies place and came back with 13 chicks. Now I am left sorting out the mess. Last year we got them from the Co op, but they did not bring any in this year.

It takes awhile to figure it out. I'm still learning.

BR is Barred Rock
CM is Cuckoo Maran

My husband said he came home with 5 Ameraucana, 2 barred rock, ( sorry my miss label having a hard time keeping track of it all) 2 reds, 3 Cuckoo Maran. My son picked out a 13th One we thought was an Australorp.

I Think he came home with 5 Ameraucana, 2 Barred, 2 reds, 2 cuckoo and 2 Australorp. I think one of the Cuckoo and the Australorp are roosters too.

Whats an Easter Egger and whats the difference between it and an Ameraucana?

Ameraucana is a particular breed, with specific traits, that comes in specific colors, and that lays blue eggs.

Easter Egger is any chicken that is supposed to lay blue or green eggs, but does not belong to a specific breed.

It is common for Easter Eggers to be labeled as "Ameraucanas" (or wrongly spelled versions of it), but we often know they are not really Ameraucanas because they have the wrong feather color, or the wrong leg color, or they are missing the muff & beard that Ameraucanas have on their faces, or for various other reasons.

Araucana is another breed of chicken that lays blue eggs.
Easter Eggers get wrongly labeled as Araucanas, too.
