I have been working on building a LF Breeder Barn for the last few months. It is at our farm and I work on it on the weekends when I get the chance. It has been a slow process but progress is coming along. It is 8x32 with 4 8x8 pens. There will be another 8x32 barn built next to it with 2 8x16 pens. I am currently just working on the one barn to get it finished before I proceed with the second one.
These pictures start out with me cleaning up the area, setting the posts and moving on from there. I do not claim to be a finish carpenter by any means but it should be good once I get it all done.

Starting to paint the frame with KILZ to give it a white wash look and protect the wood a little bit. I try to put two to three coats of KILZ on the wood also.
This is the point I am at currently, 6/24/2013. Hopefully will be able to get some work done this weekend on it. Next up is rafters etc.

You only need to be a good structural framing carpenter for this project!
Looks great, looking forward to watching this project progress.

It's going to be strong...that's for sure. Looking forward to more pics as you progress.

Well I am trying to build it to last for quite some time. Hence all the structural lumber. Plus we do get pretty high winds and rough storms in the area so I figured I better make it tough.
I am hoping to get this done by the end of the summer....hope haha
