LG users...Hand turn advice...

Should I have then on their sides or put them in egg cartons and tilt them? Anyone have better results with one over the other?

I've never used the egg carton method--I've had pretty good results with my duck eggs--but I just put them on the incubator grate, on their sides...

I've never used the carton either. I just lay the eggs on their sides also.

Do you turn them the first day. I thought someone said the day you put them in didnt count as day 1?

Maybe build you a tiltable egg carton with strings for each end. That way you won't have to even open it as the temps and humidity fluctuate wildly when you do also they are all turned at once. I tried turning 24 eggs in one laying on the screen for two days and bought an automatic egg turner.

From what I understand you do not turn the first 24 hours.
