Liability?

Hello, I am wondering if someone knows exactly what the liability factor is if a free ranging chicken gets hit or is blamed for causing an accident? Can they try to make your home owners insurance pay?

I know that if a domestic animal such as a dog or cat, or livestock, cause a wreck, then yes, a claim on your homeowners.

You are legally responsible for your animals. They can file a claim with your insurance company. If you do not have insurance....they go after you for damages.

as they said, there is no "try" about it. You will be responsible for all the damages.

i live in an urban area, and my girls can't get out of our yard. (big block fence) i would be VERY careful about letting them get out of your yard, unless you live in a very empty area.
