Can anyone tell me if these are lice, mites or fleas? I can not find a similar picture. I checked all the other hens (15) and I dont see anything. Of course some of them are black so its ard to see, but I dont see anyother signs of the pests on them either. Also checked my white silkie roo and he looks fine...this girl (white polish) is INFESTED! I just changed to sand in the coop and I have pine horse pelets (mosly broken down) in the run (we have clay heavy soil and it floods easily). They get to free range for a couple hours most every day.
Anyway...I just started them on Denagard for crd. is it safe to treat for these pests at the same time? What should I use? Permethrin 10? I can get that at TSC today.
