Lice! PLEASE HELP!

My babies in the outdoor brooder have lice! Some have just hatched yesterday! I used permethrin poultry dust, will this kill the eggs as well, and is it safe for baby chicks?

Won't kill the eggs, you need to dust every 5-7 days for 2-3 weeks (equates to dusting 2-3 times) - to kill eggs as they hatch and before they can breed. Not sure about very young chicks.

I have been reading about lice and some ppl. have suggested using 7 dust, but I don't know about little ones...

I used it on the bedding for the momma hen and the chicks, no ill effects by the Sevin dust.

Thanks for the confirmation. Like I said, I had not tried it myself.
