Ok. Sorry this is a bit long. So, I have had a sick chicken in quarantine for over a week. First, I thought respiratory because well, two others had the sneezes, and I treated them. They are fine now. But this one just continued to decline and stopped eating. I went to hand feed her in hopes that would help and that's when I noticed she had lice. Horribly. So, I did the permethrin dip on her tonight until my elector psp gets here. I instantly ordered it. But my main question is about the run and the coop. No one else has any signs of lice and we are currently in a deluge of rain from the storms which will continue for the next week or so. Everything is flooded. Normally my girls' dust bath well, I also add first Saturday lime and barn lime to their run and coop every other week to include walls, nesting boxes, and roosts. I have the pine pellets that turn to dust when wet so I know they bathe regularly in it and the dirt piles I find in my yard. Will I have to shovel all of that out and spray with the elector psp or can I just spray the wood of the coop, nesting boxes, and roosts? I plan on giving everyone a thorough check tomorrow when it is not dark. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
