They are 2.5w old or so now. What are some signs I can look for to tell if they are pullets or roos??

One I am suspect of is a roo, but I want to be sure I know what to look for. TIA!

Brahmas can be sneaky - at least mine are, lol. Mine have waited until 4 months old to show me they were boys. They take a long time to mature and often have a sleek pullet-like body until nearly 6 months. That could just be mine though. The comb area will be wider and turn pink/red sooner than the ladies. I am still working on getting the chicks sexed at an early age myself-peacomb breeds are harder to identify sex in IMO. Perhaps if you post a pic we could give it a go on guessing for you.......

This was a few days ago but today they look so much bigger. The one on the right's feathers are coming in much slower, colors are bolder, bigger than the other one and seems to be VERY feisty.

I'm certainly no expert at sexing chicks especially via picture, but this video sure helped me out when I was pulling chicks out of the st. run bin at Family Farm and Home... not sure how accurate it is as they get older. I did well with this wing method when they were a few days old though.

Hamptons06, I have 4 golden comets and 3 ? about the same age and feathered out the same as yours. Staff at TSC did not know what they are. Do you think they are cochins? When I tried to look up these chicks, the closest I came was a Checkered Leghorn. Anyhow when I picked them all out of the Straight Run bin I tried looking at the combs and hope I have more girls than boys but time will tell.

they're pretty rough on those chicks--the one guy in the back ground was flinging them into the box after sexing, LOL

I saw that and was sad for the poor chicks.
