Light Brahma Hen x Blue Roo

I have a few light Brahmas in our coop of hens of different breeds. I let out Blue Jersey Giant and Blue Cochin Roos in for a bit and just started hatching everyone’s eggs. I am getting an odd amount of chicks that are yellowish and when they start getting their feathers they are a super bright white. I do have a dominant white breed in there but they aren’t the paints that I normally get with them plus they are super feathery with feathery legs included. Does a light Brahma do something different to a blue? I’m not familiar at all with light Brahma genetics since they were my husbands choice of breed.

I think the dominant white is the parent. Maybe she is recessive white as well and the blue Cochin has the recessive white gene?
Feathered legs are incomplete dominant, so it is possible.

The Brahma is likely not the parent to all these chicks. What other breeds do you have?
The only other I can think of is a rooster offspring of a Smokey Pearl. I thought I would get paints though.

Recessive white is common in Cochins, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they had it.
That definitely would make sense since the majority of my chickens are Cochin. Crazy thing is I’ve never heard this information before! This will be a fun one to figure out who!
