Hi again :) I posted earlier about my blue orpington chick, and now I would love some expert opinions on my 4 week old light brahma. This is Lightening Speed. I tried to get a full body profile, but this one lives up to the name my 5 year old gave it and is too quick. I can take more (or better) photos with my actual camera if necessary.

In the last week or so, this chick has started flying at the other chicks, and posturing/confronting everyone, which is making me leery. It does it ALL THE TIME. I know females can also do this, but I've also been reading a lot about the feathering of light brahmas, and many of the 4 week olds that I've been looking at have lost the fluff on their heads, where this one hasn't. It might be too early to tell, and I know nothing is for sure, but just looking for any educated guesses since this is a pretty common breed. This is a hatchery 'pullet', one of only 2 chicks that I couldn't resist before my order from the breeder got here, lol. Thanks in advance! :)

I was trying to get a shot of the legs in this one below, they are very thick. But, I know it's a large breed, so maybe that doesn't mean anything.

Its to young to tell, but, if you go by the "three rows of peas" rule used on pea combed breeds, that would indicate that yours is a male. However, its not 100% and I would hang on to it for a while to be sure.

I'm glad you mentioned that actually, because I was researching that some. Is that true for all pea combed breeds, or just EE's? I must not have been searching properly because I couldn't find an answer for that. Do you know? :)
