Light Brahmas

Our five Light Brahmas. Starting getting two eggs a day, now we are up to four.

I was wondering (I am a newbie learning right now): The part of your chickens' enclosure that looks sandy rather than grassy--did you do that or is that how the chickens leave the ground after foraging for a while?

They're so pretty! I have a Buff Brahma and a Black Brahma, but now I think I'll go out and pick up a couple Light Brahmas.

Actually the dirt part is our 20'x30' garden. I got the chickens from my cousin. They ate all the grass and weeds along with the bugs out of the garden. I have tilled it twice to get the free fertilizer from them into the soil. Tomorrow we will probably start making rows.
