We got a variety of 25 chicks from McMurray Hatchery. 3 seem to be heavy breed (meat birds?) They are literally twice the size of the rest of the chicks at two weeks of age. Today I came home and discovered the three Godzillas (as we call them) had been pecked to bleeding by the other chicks. They seem to be pulling their feathers/fuzz out! Anyone know about this? We have separated the godzillas into another cage for now. This didn't happen until we moved the whole batch out of the big horse trough in the guest bedroom to the coop (inside a separate big wire dog crate) last night with the other adult chickens. What gives?
