Light bulb question

I have 4 hens with a small coop they do have a good run outside what watt bulb would be enough for winter egg laying

Coops are different. There is no one sized light bulb that would cover all coops in the world. Different sized bulbs are required for different coops.

It needs to provide enough light so you can read a newspaper in there.

I was told many years ago to use a 40 watt bulb for an 8 by 8 coop. The newspaper reading deal is what most go by, but the wattage does not have to be real high.
