light in coop question

i have a light in the coop for my 6 week olds. is it alright to turn it off during the day. its in the 50s and 60s and 70s here.

Today I just switched from a 250 watt to a 90 watt. If its going to be a chilly day I keep it on. I also keep in on at night.

My six week olds chose to sleep without the light. They moved to the far corner. Mine are well feathered. At six weeks I figure they are ready. If with a hen they would be on their own long ago. Can't imagine a hen with all of those six week old chicks under them!!

I keep a night light in my chicken coop and the goat barn. Makes ME feel better, anyway!!!
