Light on 24/7?

Is it bad to keep a light on in the coop all the time? It's a 40 watt. What problems could it cause if any? Should I have it on a timer?

If you chose to use light it would be better to have it on a timer, set so that the chickens get a total of 14 hrs. of light a day.
It's very stressful to them to have light 24/7, IMO. Kinda like us trying to sleep with a light on all the time.
