Hi there
I am wanting to get either Light Sussex or Black Austrolop for my back yard and have some questions to find out which one would be best. I have made my mind up on these 2.
I need the chicken that is quiet, does not me mind to be picked up and touched (this is important for rehabilitation or relaxing to people), is comfortable and not flighty when the dog (German Shepherd) is around them. All of these points are important and the chicken must fit them as close as possible.
So basically which one of the two would be the calmest, quietest and doesn't mind to be touched. Looking at about 4 of them and they will be free ranging in the garden. Oh and which one will be more forgiving on your garden??
I hear that austrolop lays the better egg?
Thank you for your time.
