Lighting for chicks?

Hello,
We had 11 chicks hatch last week (in incubator). Rhode Island Reds and 2 Red Sex-Links. We are keeping them in a brooder in our basement ( until they can go to our outside coop) but it's a room that doesn't have any windows so it is quite dark.
They have a heat lamp on at all times but I'm wondering if I should leave the lights on in the room during daytime hours? To help them orientate to daytime/nighttime?
Any advice is appreciated!

No, you don't need regular lights along with the heat lamp. I do hope you are using a red light. I'd get them outside ASAP. I put my incubator chicks in my outside brooder at day 2. They do just fine. Good Luck!

Yes, you could do that...might not be necessary, but good.
Would be good to get them into some daylight.
