Will a red heat lamp work to add extra daylight hours for egg laying ???


My hens were laying all summer.... I noticed I was getting only a few eggs /day , so I put in a white LED light ...... they havent started laying again !! Was I too late with the light , or will they start laying again ????

My chickens almost stopped laying in mid October so I added a 100 watt regular old light bulb that comes on at 4:30 AM and goes off at 7:30 AM. It gets dark at 5:00 here now. With a week they were laying regular again.
