Last night, I went into my 6 week old chickens' run to get them set for bed. And all 8 started trying to get on me to be held. If I bent over 2 or 3 would fly up onto my back and then when I stood, climb up to my shoulder. I tried to spend a little time with each pullet and put her in the coop, but none of them wanted me to put them down. It was so strange. Today they are running all over the yard. Not just pecking around, but RUNNING.
I have two who are usually the best with being held. Only one goes out of her way to be held. Usually, I have to corner them before they will let me hold them. Last night was strange, right?
